Allowance

     Allowance is one of the thing children love to get from their parents. Although many parents would agree that giving children allowance is good, their view on the way the money is disunited is different. While some parents give their children an allowance without considering the ways in which the child behaves, or how well they’ve done on house chores, others make it so that their child would have to earn the money. I believe that an allowance should be eared. Just simply giving it to them teaches them nothing. 

     If you make a child earn the money that they receive in an allowance, it helps them to understand the world they live in and the way money works in this world. For example, if a child is misbehaving or is simply not doing all of their chores, the allowance should be taken away or they should be played less then the full amount. This can indeed help them later on in life. When they have a job as an adult, to earn money they must do their job well and they shouldn’t use inappropriate behavior either. If they were to do a bad at a job then their pay would reflect that or they could just get fired.

     An allowance is a reward; parents don’t have to give it toothier children, so earning the money shouldn’t be a problem. In addition, if they earn their allowance, it would be more appreciated; also, they will have the feeling of accomplishment. What is their accomplished if you simply hand the money over to some undeserving of it? You wouldn’t want them getting use to that, it only teaches then dependency, they will depend on someone else to help them out, and that person would be the parent that always gave them money no matter what the circumstances were. In a way, it a way of taking advantage of parents their hard-earned money goes to someone who barely knows the true value of a dollar. They learn absolute nothing about how to earn money, and when they go into the working world, they won’t amount to much because laziness would be their only experience. It would be new to them while if they could have started early by earning the things they received then it would be essay for them as a working person.

     The working world is not an easy place. It is full of people who expect you to do what they ask of you to 


the fullest. If you were to work in an office, the boss would not allow a messy office like a parent allows a 


messy room. If you are late you pay would be docked and if you complain you could be fired. So why not 


start them off early the right way, by teaching giving them a glimpse of living in this world fanatically. By 


making them earn their allowance, you are showing them how to earn their keep. Therefore, when they grow 


up into working adults they can have a better outlook on they way thins work.
