Devangle origin Part One
Aalijah Starman was six when she first discovered she could turn invisible. It happened when she was playing hide and seek with the neighborhood kids. The boy who was it looked behind the tree, which was where Aalijah was hiding, but saw nothing but Aalijah’s clothing laying on the ground. Aalijah didn’t make a move. She just looked up at the boy wondering why he didn’t tag her and yell your it. He took a last look then ran off. As Aalijah was getting up to go run for base she noticed that she couldn’t see her hand, she looked at her arms and also notice that they were also gone, she saw right thought them. She touched her arm and could feel that they were there, she just couldn’t see them.
She them became afraid and didn’t know what to do. She didn’t want to go to her parent, she was afraid they would get angry at her. So for the next to weeks she stayed in the near by woods. That’s how long it took her to turn back visible. When she got home she lied to her parent, who had sent a search party and the police to go find her, she told them that she had got lost in the woods when she was playing hide and seek.
Later on when she was seven she was in more control of her invisibility, no one else knew about it, she kept it secret. But she wasn’t ready for what was next, for soon she would discover that she could do more then just turn invisible. One day Aalijah and her parents were on a trip to go celebrate a new addition to the family. Aalijah now had a six month year old baby brother. She was so happy her and her family hadn’t gone on a trip since she was five.
Her father stopped at gas station to refill on gas and snacks. Aalijah’s mother was sleeping in the passenger seat and Aalijah kept her baby brother Jordan
When she woke up she was sitting in what use to be her car. She looked down at her brother and saw nothing but ash and small fragments off bones she jumped out of the car in fear only to see part of her mother face burned completely off and the other have nothing but skeletal. She looked back at the store at the gash station and saw that there was nothing there but bunted skeletons and wood. She took a step closer to the building and trips over a gas pump. She falls on her knee and feels excruciating pain. She looks down at her knee and sees hole in her knee that is so deep she could see her bones. As see stares at it, it began to heal. When it was finish the pain went away, a few minutes later the police and fire department was there. After questing her, they decided she had nothing to do with the explosion. Yet the explosion was no mere accident, some one caused he explosions on purpose with an explosive device.
Since Aalijah had no other known living relatives she was placed in a foster home, not even two months had passed before she was adopted by the Johnson family. The just marred couple was incapable of having a child and they just thought that they would be the best comfort for Aalijah after reading her files. Aalijah didn’t speak much to her new parent, she had been thought so much, she spent most of her time in her room, and if she really didn’t fill like being bothered she would just turn invisible. She would some times cut herself but every time she did her wounds would automatically heal. She once cut her hand off but it healed back in just minutes. She saw her powers as a curse. She wished that she had died with her family but her powers stopped her from doing so, she felt the pain but that was it everything would heal again. She didn’t even get sick. It wasn’t until she was seventeen that she actually paid attention to her foster parent, of course she would talked to them, she just wasn’t close to them in any way but distance. She notice how abusive her foster father Jaired was to her faster mother Marry. She never notice after all this time because since she was eight she would sneak out he house and stay out until it was time to go to school. Now she began to notice the bruise on Marry’s face and how afraid she was. She didn’t like the idea of anyone getting a bused so the next time she saw Jaired beating on Marry she stood in between him and Marry and firmly told her to stop. Jaired slapped Aalijah so hard across the face that she flew. Then he started to beat her up. She tried to fight her off but he was to strong. When he tried to take off her clothing she once again raised her hand in defiance and he immediately flew away. She could see a blue circle around her and when he came at her again he couldn’t get pass the circle. She the turned invisible and ran away, she never did go back.
