Persuasive Writing 3rd Prompt for fist semester
Prompt 10: Most states allow people to get a driver’s license at the age of 16. Some people feel that 16 is much too young for the responsibility that comes with driving a car and that teenagers should not be allowed the drive until the age of 18. In your opinion, at what age should people be allowed to drive, and why?
Driver’s License! What is the appropriate age to get one?
When is the right age for some one to allow people to receive a driver’s license? In most sates, you can get your divers license at the age of 16. Yet many say that this is too young of an age to get a drivers license, I believe that it is not. Why, you may ask. Well for one, I don’t think that you should base one’s responsibility from others mishaps. Just because on 16 year old is irresponsible, doesn’t mean they all are. Most times people need a car at a young age. In addition, 16 years old is a good age to start preparing for the world that waits after High School and collage. The responsibilities that come with driving a car is a great way to start.
To star with I do think that there are many teens that do not take the responsibility of driving seriously. Therefore, teens are involved in in many car accidents. Yet I still believe sixteen is a good age to get your license and to start driving. Car accidents can be easily prevented if there is a stricter way involved on the way for teens to get their license.
Most teens need a car at the age of sixteen, because this is around the age when high school of the hardest, Junior year. This the part of high school when teacher likes to pile loads of work on you. You have the work to do and you can’t let them drop because these are one of the ages colleges pay attention to. Some sixteen year olds also have jobs to get to and having third own car or a borrowed car from fiend or family would work best for transportation. Some can have issues at home in with a parent/ guardian is unable to dive because of physical or mental problems. It would be conferring for them someone to have their sixteen year olds to depend for driving, for example; getting the groceries, taking siblings to school, taking them to wherever they may need to go.
Just because your sixteen years old, does not mean that you are irresponsible. You can’t put it on the age, only the people themselves. You have to realize that every on is an individual and each individual has different experience. Lots of experience can shape you to be and even more responsible person. For some 16 year olds, having many responsibilities is not surprising to here; especially in this recitation when there, parents’ guardians needs help the most.
For sixteen years olds to get their license the ways in which they get them should be harder not taken away. It is too much of a need for sixteen years old to drive. The can be a big help to their family by being their personal driver, to run errors and much more. Not only will they be helping their families, they also will be learning how to be responsible for themselves, by taking care of something else. Which is a better way to learn how to take care of something at the age of sixteen, a child or a car?
