Persuasive writing essay # 10

Prompt 10: Most states allow people to get a driver’s license at the age of 16. Some people feel that 16 is much too young for the responsibility that comes with driving a car and teenagers should not be allowed to drive until the age of 18. In your opinion, at what age should people be allowed to drive, and why?

Isn’t Six-teen Old enough

     In many states the age 16 is the age in which you are allowed to obtain your drivers license. Yet many people ague against this. The believe that 16 is too young to take on the responsibility of driving. In my opinion, this is a grate age to get your drivers license. When your 16 your most likely are in the third year of high school, an 11^th graded, a Jr. This is one the busiest years of high school. These days 16 year olds are responsible for a lot already, a car would help them.

     Most high 16 years old in high school has a very busy life. Some have to take care of their younger brothers and sisters. Parents are busier then ever these days and count on the oldest in the house to do a lot. If the sixteen year old is the oldest, than a car could help out a lot. If they have their license, they can help their parents out by taking their siblings to school, going to get the groceries and much more. There are also those who have parent that can’t drive. For example, I know a young girl whose name will remain unsaid. Her mother can not drive, because of a heart decide she has, and her father cant see very well. She takes care of her sibling as her parents work. She cooks, keeps the house clean and helps her siblings with any schoolwork they might need helps in. This is a lot to do. Almost as much as an adult has to do. If they can be responsible for this much, then why can’t they be responsible for a car? A car in which can help not only them but their families as well.    

     Why are 16 year old responsible enough to get their drivers license. With the way society is today, teens grow up and mature faster than needed to. This is the time in their life when they start to make life long decisions. The time when they stat to make final decisions on what they want to do in life. A car is just another responsibility they will soon get anyway.  

Cats and dogs are so different. I should know since I am dog and my best friend Alice is a cat I should know. So here is a list of our differences.

1. Cat’s always get hit by a car (guess that why they have nine lives because they would be no longer excise if they had one) As a dog I know to look both ways before crossing, I do admit that dogs get hit by cars but the is a much higher rate of cat dying in that way then us dog. ^.^ poor Alice too bad she can’t be a dog like me.
2. Humans love dogs a lot more than cats. How do I know this, well lets make a list
• We are in more movies then cat’s
• We are in more shows than cats
• There are more dog food commercials than cat food commercials
• Most rich people leave us all there money, which is smart; because no one wants to leave, money to some one they know might get hit by a car.
• If you go to a pet shop most of the thing there are for dogs.
3. Cats have longer life spans then dogs, but since cats are so dumb, their life’s end   shortly.

Thing we have In common

• We are both animals that love food and most of us have fur. We are mostly seen as pets and everything is free for us because the humans always buy stuff for there pets, and if you live in the street you just take what you want, animals don’t steal it really doesn’t count when we take stuff, what they goanna do take me to the pout so they can give me more free food, and maybe a family,.
• Another thing we have in common is we know humans are clueless, they are so easy to pleas all you have to do is give them a pout and you got them hooked.

It quite amazing when you think about it.

If you were to look at a blank piece of paper and put it next to something that use to be a blank piece of paper you forget that these to papers in front of you use to be the same.

There’s many things I’ve been through to get to were I am today as a person. Life is full of hardships, and it's those hardships, that make us stronger. We first suffer though pain before we can understand happiness. That is what I learned from my 11^th grade when my English teacher had his class read Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. This book was about a man who was facing death. This man was very intelligent, and had been through a lot in his life. I learned a lot just by reading it. Reading this book wasn’t the only thing that I had to do with this book, I also assigned to a project. The project was to choose a family member who you believe has gained much wisdom to share with you that they had gained thought-out their life. Once we chose the individual, we were to speak to them about the same subject that the author Mitch Albom spoke to his old professor Morrie about as we got to each subject. I was to listen to them and take note or recordings of what they had to say. This assignment was not collected or checked. It was more of something that I could have for myself, so that those moments and their knowledge would always be with me.

     The person I chose for this assignment was my great grandmother Wyvernia Tucker. I chose her because I believed as an 86-year-old woman, she should have plenty of experiences, and knowledgeable life experiences to share with me. I have always been close to my grandmother, and she has always motivates me to do the things I want most in life, accomplish my goals in life, and to do things that would make my life full of happiness. It was good that I chose her; I learned so much during are talks. We went thought topics such as life, death, careers, relationships, the world, and so much more.

     The ones I got the most out of were life and death, from both my grandmother and Morrie’s perspective. I enjoyed how when Morrie said, "Once you learn how to die, you learn how to live." I also enjoyed when he says, "So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.” "My grandmother said, “When you stop fearing death, you start to enjoy life to the fullest, you allow yourself to truly live.” These things made me stop fearing death, and just worries about what I can do now to live life with as little regrets as possible, and for the regrets I have, don’t focus so much on that it ends up blinding me from the life I have, then not realize it until my life is over.

   Our discussions helped me make many life decisions, for example, what I wanted to go to colleges for. At first, for the longest time I wanted to be a lawyer. I wanted to one because they made a lot off money, I know a lot about the law, and the right people have, I thought I’d be good at it and make a lot of money. I mostly wanted it for the money. After doing this project and reading, this book I realized that I shouldn’t put aside the things I really love for something the world tells us is the best. Therefore, instead of being a lawyer, I Teaireyana Wyvernia Williams is going follow my true dream and use my creative spirit to become and animator and graphic designer, and not waist my life on something that not going to make me truly happy and live my life to the fullest.

Autobiography

     My name is Teaireyana (tea-air-re-yon-na) Wyvernia Williams. I was born on February 14, 1993 to Wyvernia Brown and Andre Daniels. I am a very optimistic young woman, who always look’s at thing from a better point of view, so that they won’t seem as bad as they truly are. I’m also a very honest person. An example of my honesty is when I was in the 11^th grade, and one of the students in my pre calculus class, had all of the answers to our finial. The student with the answers passed them around to some student, and texted the answer to others. Only a few of the student counting myself did not cheat. When I was offered the paper as it was going down the row, I shook my head without even turning to the person who had it. So the just pasted it to someone else. When I received my final test score back, I found out that I passed it with a B. Almost the whole class had A’s. I was proud of myself anyway, because I passed a test, which I thought I was going to fail honestly, if I would have taken the other rout, it would have been dishonest and would have felt guilty.

     I would not be the person I am today if it hadn’t been for my mother. She teaches me all the things I need to know to take care of myself. When she gives me an allowance, it’s to make me responsible for my self. The amount of money I get each month teaches me how to balance out my money with my wants and needs. For instance if I only get $40 that month and I want to by a new book that I want to by from the book store but I have to get books for a college class for elcamino. I know to save my money for my college books, because that is more important instead of getting the new book from borders and expecting her to get the books at elcamino for me. Another thing she makes me do is chores around the house, which befits me when I get my own house to live in. I also have to watch my baby brother a lot, which gives me patents with children, now how to teach and interact with them so that when I become a parent years from now, I’d know how to be a great parent just as she is to my baby brother and I.

   I grew up in Los Angeles California. I didn’t spend much time in Los angels as a child, unless I was at school. Most of the time I was with my family, I spent lot’s of it with my cousins. My dad’s sides of the family were very close, I was with them most of the time until my mother, and father got a divorce. It didn’t make me side, I actually saw it better them being apart, they seemed much happier that way.

     I love to watch anime and read manga. Amine is Japanese cartoons and manga’s are Japanese style comic book. In my opinion, Japanese anime and manga’s have better artistic details then regular American cartoons. I also like to listen and lean about different styles of music. For example I love kpop or Korean pop music, I most of the songs that are from Korea. I even went to one of the SM Town, which is one of the music companies for many of my favorite Korean singers. It was a pleasant experience.  

   Something that I am very passionate about is Art. I love everything about it. I love to look at it and learn the history behind different pieces of art and the artist who crates them. I myself love to draw and paint. I most draw animated charters. I would love it if I could one day become an animato and graphic designer. I’m too creative to be anyone less.

      I am proud of the person I am today. I have had so much help from my mother to help me get to where I am today. I am very honest no matter what is in stake. I feel that it is very important to make other able to trust you. Without trust you can’t have any type of a decent relationship rather it with a friend, parent teach and anyone else you might encounter in my life. Life is filled with complications, so I plan on making one the most important thing in my future, which is family and my career, the most enjoyable.

How to Draw a Face Anime Style

To draw a face anime style, the first thing you need to do is get all of the materials. This step is the most important because without the proper materials you can’t do this. You will need a blank sheet of paper; any color is fine, as long as you can see the pencil markings. You will also need a good eraser, and something to write on, table recommended. Chose the direction in which you want you paper, in other word decide if you want your paper the long way or the short way.      

The fist thing to do is to draw two ovals diagonally. These two ovals will end up being the eyes so don’t use up the whole page. The eyes of an anime character are very important, so important in fact, it can determine if your charter looks like a boy or a girl. It also shows the emotions of the charter, so think about this as you draw your ovals. Narrow eyes make your cheater look more like a boy, rounder eyes for the girls. Then with your eraser, cut each of the ovals in half diagonally. Next under each of the upper, half’s of the oval, draw a line mimicking the line above it. (These to lines are very close). Then inside of each of the cut in half ovals, you draw a circle. After that in the upper or lower corner of the circle, draw a small circle. Keep the smaller circle white. If you are going to color, you picture the do it at the end, but if you were just using pencil shading then your next step would be to draw small lines going from the outside part of the smaller circle to the end of the bigger circle. If you are not satisfied with the result of how your eye looks so far, then now if the time to erase before you go any further. Next, are the eyelashes; starting from the second line of the upper half of each of the ovals, draw curved lines going out, for the left eye draw lines going out to the left and for the right eye to the right. For the eye draw a curved line over each eye, to make thicker just trace over the curveted line harder.

 For the nose, below the eyes and in the center, draw a short straight line with a point at the end that looks like the tip of an arrow.  Then for the mouth, draw a small line going either straight or horizontal. By now you, picture should have eyes, eyebrow, a nose, and a mouth. Now draw an egg shaped circle around what you’ve drawn so far. Next, draw the ears. The ears length can be measured by using the eyebrows and the nose. The top of the ear is at the same level as eyebrows and the bottom of the ear is the same level as the tipoff the nose. If you want your charter to have earring, now is the time to draw them. For the neck, draw curved lines in opposite directions stating from the ears and going out. If it is the right side of the neck, then the line should curve out towage the right. If it is the left side of the neck, then the line should curve out towage the left. Erase the part of the part of the oval that is above the eyebrows, then replace the empty space with any hairstyle you want; don’t erase the top if you want the person to be balled. Now you can add any extra trait, such as freckles, add dashes under the eyes for blush marks, glasses etc. then finally you’re done.

Persuasive Writing 2nd Prompt for fist semester Prompt 16: A few decades ago, many families had half a dozen or more children. Nowadays more and more families are choosing to have only one or two children. Are smaller families better than larger once? Why or why not? State your purpose and support it with specific reasons and explanations.

Less Children Then Yesterday

     These days, people try to limit the amount of children they have to one or two. Only a few decades ago, it was no surprise to hear of families as big as eight, or more, it was common to have children then, now it’s rarely heard of. It was also a lot more affordable. There are so many differences between that time and now. There are a rise in birth defects, a lager amount of possible diseases to pass on to a child such as diabetes and ADIS. Of course, you can’t forget about the expensive. 

     One of the reasons there are less children is because of abortion. Abortion is a lot safer then it was a few decades ago. It makes it a lot easer for women mentally to get them. In the years, 200-2003 there was a rate of 1.3 million abortions performed in each year in the United States. Since then it has increased, estimating to about 1,305,200 abortions per year. Since there are less babies coming in to this world their will be less children period.

     Another reason for a limited amount of children is because, it less likely for them to die. “In 1973, 90% of babies born at 28 weeks died, now more than 90% live. Little wonder that obstetricians no longer treat pregnancy as a disease, and now focus their attention on the well-being of both the fetus and its mother.” Says Sydney Smith, 01/30/2003 in her article “Technology and Life's Dominion." Since their were so many deaths, people had the tendency to have as many as possible, in the end, most of the time only 4 out of 12 of the children someone had would actually live. Now, that is not the case. Your child would most likely life so it’s no need of extra just in case, so that your husband would be pleased.

     One of the main reasons people are having less children these days is because of financial crises. Many families who want children can’t afford to have more than one or two. The thing you need to raise a child is expressive. You need food, shelter, clothing, healthcare, and much more. In “The Basics Raising your quarter-million dollar baby,” By MSN Money staff, he mentions “For 2004, the newest data available, the U.S. Department of Agriculture estimates that families making $70,200 a year or more will spend a whopping $269,520 to raise a child from birth through age 17. Higher-income families in urban areas in the West spend the most, $284,460.” Of course, since that was in only 2004 you can only imagine how high the price of a child is now. Now the $12,000 per year for a baby stages of life and more than $13,000 for a teenager. 

     It’s easy to see why populace limits their list of children so low. It is excessively expensive. You can barley afforded to live on your own these days so with a child it would be trice as hard. In addition, people also have the option of abortion, which is often used to change people’s minds of having a child at all. Last, your child will most likely have a full life so theirs no need to have any extra that would have a better chance at living. Why have so many children when the world tells you, “You don’t need them, it only makes life harder.”
